So, I went to Trader Joe's this morning with a friend and got some AWESOME stuff!  I got a bunch of indian food (my favorite style of cooking) and other goodies including Blood Oranges.

So, does anyone have any cool/unique recipe using blood oranges?  I see them on iron chef all the time but.... most of the stuff they make is weird ( see squid ink ice cream) :-D

I'm SO excited!!!!

We found our new apartment in St. Louis! It's completely 100% handicapped accessible and right in the central west end :-D It's so badass... it even has a coffee shop right in the building AND an awesome fitness room! :-D

There is NO WAITING LIST (!!!!!) so we can move as soon as he gets a new job, this is SO freaking awesome!

So, it's been a bit of a crazy week.... 

So, a very good friend of mine just found out she was pregnant last week... well, she had a miscarriage on saturday.  It was a very sad situation, but she's dealing pretty well considering she has a very fundamental unsupportive christian husband.  Nothing against christianity, it's just not my thing.  He is oppressing her in every way and it's so sad.  So enough of that back story, he hasn't hardly comforted her at all and it's so sad.  So, I picked up one of her shifts this week so she could recover a bit.  I really wish I could just take her and show her that she's allowed to have individual thoughts and she has the human right to happiness.  I get so depressed when I think about how sad her life is...  and I'm not just assuming this, anyone who knows anything about psychology and body language knows how she feels...  When she talks about her home life and relationship she OBVIOUSLY wants to say more but is so submissive even when she's not around her husband that she won't say it with words, but she doesn't have to use words... I can just tell.  Anyway... I just wanted to share that....

Today, rubyharmonymoon (my sister-in-law) and I went to to Willow Grove Magick Shoppe

We got lots of great stuff, I got: new tapers, a new snuffer, mugwort, juniper berries, star anise, red clover, and new citrine, aventurine, moonstone, and tiger eye.  I also picked up some fabric to cover my new BOS. 

I'm starting to get hungry so I'm going to eat a salad really quick and start covering my BOS :) 

I love my days off! :-D

So, I've decided that my old BOS is just falling apart too much.  I got the brilliant idea ( I know I'm not the only one) to use one of those generic photo albums.  So, I chose a plain blue photo album with the sticky pages with clear protectors over them. 

So, I have found this wonderful fabric:  purple with tiny silver stars all over it.  I will be covering my new BOS with this fabric, but first I think I'm going to sew a triple moon symbol onto the fabric.  I haven't decided what color yet.... probably black. 

Anyway:  I'm just so excited because now my BOS will have some kind of order to it, and now I have a safer place for all of my magazine clippings and things that have been paperclipped to my old BOS.

That's about it for now....

On a more personal note:  I haven't slept in 3 days because my poor husband has been deathly ill.  Luckily I got him to the doc in time so he didn't have to be hospitalized and he is finally doing alot better!  So tonight I am going to climb into my nice warm bed (recently disinfected) and probably fall asleep while I try to meditate.
